From one Tracy to another, a HUGE welcome to planDisney! I get very excited when I see a Tracy with the same spelling as me.
One of the best things about booking your Walt Disney World vacation on the website is that you can reserve your reservation with just a $200 deposit. Your final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival, and you can make payments at any time on the
MyDisneyExperience website. So, while there is no actual payment plan, you can kind of make your own!
You can begin budgeting for your trip by purchasing Disney Gift Cards at a local warehouse club store (with maybe a small discount), or at the
Disney Gift Card website. I try to purchase at least one gift card each time I find myself with a little extra cash. You can combine these cards on the Disney Gift Card website (up to $1000 per card), and then use them to pay for some or all of your vacation.
You can also use Disney Gift Cards once you are on your vacation to pay for snacks, souvenirs, and restaurant bills. I love having all of these things largely paid for when I arrive.
I will also recommend that you add
Memory Maker onto your vacation package. There have been so many new “magic shots” added recently for the 50th Anniversary. One of my favorites is blowing confetti; I have found this in front of Cinderella Castle, the Main Street Train Station, and Spaceship Earth. There are also PhotoPass cameras in thirteen different attractions, all of which would be included in your Memory Maker. My favorites of these is inside the
Haunted Mansion. Be ready right at the beginning of your ride, when you pass the Medusa portrait, smile right at her.
I hope this helps with planning for your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
