We are interested in booking back to back Disney Cruises in March 2016 for us and our 2 daughters (5 & 9). How can this be done smoothly without a great deal of stress in the middle of our vacation? Thanks!

    Ahoy, Connie!

My husband and I did back to back cruises last October, and I was very nervous about doing it. My first bit of advice is to make sure you have the SAME stateroom booked for both sailings. That way, you don't have to pack anything up in the middle of your vacation. If you do find your family having to move staterooms, you will simply pack your bags and leave them in your first stateroom and they will magically find their way to your new stateroom.

On the final night of your first cruise, expect to find a letter explaining about your debarkation and re-embarkation processes. Most likely, you will meet in a lounge and a Crew Member will escort you off the ship. On our back to back cruise, we were ported in San Juan, Puerto Rico, so we got off the Disney Magic for the day and explored some of the sights.

If your port is Port Canaveral, you will most likely want to return to the cruise ship as soon as possible, which the Crew Member who takes you off the ship will help facilitate. It is a very smooth process, I have heard tales of back to back cruisers who are off the ship and back on in well under an hour. Then, you will be able to enjoy the ship's pools while there is virtually no one onboard! How cool for your girls!

I hope this helps with your planning. Please let us know if you have more questions as you continue to anticipate your voyage!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
