I am interested in becoming a DVC member. My family and I typically travel during the off season (SEPT/JAN). Is it hard to book at a resort that is not a "home" resort during these periods?

    Hi Anne,

This is a great question! While I think I only once did not get the room I wanted for vacation, I am sure it was more about when I booked the reservation then when I took my vacation. However, you never know which rooms are available.

With the Disney Vacation Club, you can make a reservation at your home resort at 11 months prior to check in. If you would like to book another resort, you can make a reservation seven months prior to check in. In addition, you can always use the wait list to move to a different location which I have done and have received confirmation that my request was honored.

For you, if you wanted to tour in September and stay at a resort other than your home resort, you would need to call in February. For touring in January, you would need to call in June.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
