Instead of the main area, can i pick up wilderness explorers book at gorilla falls trail, or kilamanjaro safaris? I did not want to back track at 10 to oasis trail.

“Caw! Caw! Roar!,” Jamie. Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

While the Wilderness Explorers Headquarters on the bridge between Oasis and Discovery Island is the first stop Guests come to when entering Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, budding Explorers can also pick up an official field guide from locations in Africa, Asia, DinoLand U.S.A. and even Pandora - The World of Avatar!

As of January 2019, the only Wilderness Explorers location in Africa is at the back of the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. Grab a Guidemap at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park's entrance or view the map using your My Disney Experience Mobile App to see other locations where you can pick up a field guide and begin collecting your sticker badges. My daughter likes to start a new guide each time we go, and she loves to challenge herself to see how many badges she can collect in a single day. We also love stopping near the entrance to It’s Tough to Be a Bug to meet Russell and Dug or catching them in UP! A Great Bird Adventure, an all-new 25-minute show in Asia with amazing exotic birds (though sadly, no Kevin).

I hope you and your family enjoy your adventures at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Remember: Adventure is Out There!
