Hiya there, Tony, welcome to planDisney!
I love a good gift of magic to the
Disneyland Resort, and I am sure your children will too! I’m happy to share more about gifting tickets to ensure everything goes smoothly!
It looks like you’re from California, and assuming Southern California if you plan to purchase the
SoCal Resident tickets. As long as your adult children are also SoCal residents and can provide proof of residency via valid government-issued photo ID, then yes, you can purchase for them and select their reservation days. If your children do not have the proper identification showing residency in the eligible zip codes on their ID, then they will not be granted access to the theme parks. Alternative forms of ID are not accepted. They’ll be able to add their tickets to their
Disneyland app once received and can modify the reservation dates during the ticket’s validity window (January 1 - May 15), subject to date availability.
Be sure to check out the
Disney Parks Blog for the slate of experiences at the resort for 2025. During the timeframe that their tickets will be valid, there will be all kinds of magic happening! I’m probably most excited about the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival (Feb 28 - April 21). My husband and I enjoy dates during that time, perfect for trying new cuisine and beverages! If they’re
Star Wars fans, they’ll enjoy
Star Wars Season of the Force (March 28 - May 11)! The great thing about these special tickets is that they do not have to be used consecutively, so they can visit during multiple experiences!
Well, Tony, I sure hope this helps and I wish I could see your children’s faces when they open their Christmas gifts! If you have any other questions before gifting or if they have any after, feel free to pop back over -
we’re happy to help!
Happy holidays!
