Hi there, Sancy!
Thank you for bringing your question about the
Disneyland Resort to
planDisney. It’s so wonderful that you want to enjoy some magical time in the theme parks with your grandchildren!
I think it’s easiest to purchase your
theme park tickets online through
disneyland.com. On the initial ticket purchase page, you'll select the type of ticket you want to buy. At this time, there is the Standard Theme Park Ticket and also a
3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer that would allow your grandchildren to enter the theme parks on three separate days for a special price. If you choose the standard ticket, next you will indicate the number of days you'd like to visit. Then you'll pick the number of tickets you need based on the children’s age. There is a price for children ages 3-9 and another for those ages 10 and up. Little ones under the age of 3 do not require a ticket to visit the parks.
Choose either One Park Per Day tickets or
Park Hopper tickets. I love being able to go back and forth between the two theme parks depending on attraction wait times, dining plans, and the entertainment schedule, so I always recommend that Guests take advantage of Park Hopper tickets to make the most of their time in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Park hopping at the Disneyland Resort is currently available anytime after 11:00 a.m. and continues until each theme park's closing time as capacity allows. As a
Magic Key holder, you already have the ability to park hop during your visit, so this option may make even more sense for you.
Next, reserve your ticket dates by making
theme park reservations and select the park you’ll visit each day (or the starting park if you chose Park Hopper tickets). You’ll also have the choice of adding
Disney Genie+ service to the tickets, which would allow you to select arrival windows for Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane entrances at select attractions to reduce your time spent waiting in line. It’s a great way to add convenience and make the most of your day.
Lastly, you’ll pay for the tickets and receive a confirmation email that includes a link to access your eTickets, which can then be printed or linked to your
Disneyland mobile app. If you’d like assistance with linking the tickets, please feel free to
write back and ask! I’d be glad to walk you through the steps. Also, don’t forget to make theme park reservations for yourself on the same days as your grandkids using your Magic Key. Enjoy every pixie-dusted moment of your time in the parks with your family, Sancy!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
