The information that I have received from this site is priceless. I have one, probably silly question. If we are not staying on the Disney Property, we can not take advantage of the "Extra Magic Hours".... Is this correct?

No question is silly to the Moms.

Your understanding of the Extra Magic concept is correct. The Extra Magic Hours are for Disney resort hotel guests only. For the morning Extra Magic Hour, cast members will check for resort IDs as you enter the park. For the evening Extra Magic Hours, resort guests can receive a special wristband at stations throughout the park that will allow them to participate in attractions during the extra magic time.
