Lance,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Disney does not send out park maps or other planning information like DVDs any longer, but what they do offer is a wide array of online tools to help with the planning process. Clearly planDisney is the best one!
That may not be the answer you were looking for, but these tools can help. For a real starting point, visit the
Vacation Planning page. It captures the core planning topics that most of us find challenging.
Your next stop is to use the
My Disney Experience system as your 'home base' for your planning. As you discover what you want to do, you can start logging it all in there. Of course when you are finally immersed in the magic at the Walt Disney World resort, the
My Disney Experience App puts all that information and planning right at your fingertips.
Next, I am someone who likes to have the printed park maps all spread out in front of me when I am helping someone plan their days. If you would like to get the current park maps, the fastest and easiest way to get them is to print them out off of the website. While the interactive resort map on the website is fantastic for getting a feel for where everything can be found, you really cannot print it out. You can find printable versions of the actual in-park maps for the
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park by clicking on the guide map link at the bottom of the respective web pages for each park.
BONUS TIPPrintable maps are also available for
Disney Springs, and the two water parks,
Disney's Blizzard Beach and
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.
Write me back if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
