Thanks for floating by planDisney, Brooke! No matter what ship you choose to sail on, you are guaranteed to have a magical sailing.
Each ship offers unique excitement that is all wrapped up in the same fantastic Disney service, so let's compare and contrast:
Class: Currently, Disney sails 3 classes of ships - the Magic, Dream, and Wish classes (the
Adventure class is coming!). The Dream & Wish classes are bigger - they hold 4,000 passengers as compared to the Magic class which sails with ~2700 passengers. So if you're looking for a cozy cruise, pick the Magic or the Wonder.
Restaurants: Each ship has rotational dining for dinner, where you rotate through different restaurants on the ship while keeping your servers. It is a brilliant concept and makes for a customized dining experience. At least one of the restaurants will have a dinner show, which is delightful! Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Show is on the
Wish, while Coco hosts a fiesta on the Treasure. World of Marvel is on the Wish, Treasure, and Destiny, while Rapunzel reigns supreme on the Magic. Tiana's Place and Triton are on the Wonder, and Animator's Palate is on the Dream, Fantasy,
Wonder, and
Magic.
Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King debuts on the
Destiny in November.
Activities: This is where the Wish and Dream classes shine! The Dream and the
Fantasy have the
AquaDuck (my kids' favorite water slide) and the Midship Detective Agency, while the Fantasy also hosts the Marvel Superhero Academy. The Wish ships (
Treasure, Destiny & Wish) have huge recreation areas - I couldn't peel my kids away from the Hero Zone, and my husband and I loved competing in the Incredi-Games! They also have the
AquaMouse, which is the first ever Disney attraction at sea.
Pools: The ships have similar
pool areas, with the primary pools on the upper decks. The Wonder and Magic have 4 water areas, including a splashtastic water zone for the littles and an adult-only pool. The Fantasy and
Dream double the pool magic, with 8 water zones. While the Wish, Treasure, and
Destiny give you 10 different areas to float in!
Each ship will also have a spa & salon, Kids Clubs, adult-only lounges, restaurants, and a fitness center so that the adults can have as magical time as the littles. I hope this helps you pick your ship; no matter what, you will have an incredible journey.
Bon Voyage!
