Any info on the next opening phase of Fantasyland? We arrive Sept 30 and are excited to see the new section that recently opened! Wondering if we could expect to see another phase opened by our trip! Thanks!

    Kristi,

I am not sure how much will be new since your last trip, but certainly this year there have been some new items opened in the Fantasyland expansion. Your best bet is to check the Disney Parks Blog regularly, as they are likely to have the most up to date announcements.

But to your question, there are a few changes already in place. The move of the Dumbo attraction, along with the addition of another ride vehicle, is complete. The Barnstormer is re-opened, also in the Storybook Circus section of that land. Finally, they have added a splash play area, which is great for younger children.

As for openings between now and your trip, I would not expect anything else. There are new restaurants (Be Our Guest and Gaston's Tavern) on the way, as well as several attractions (Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and Ariel's Grotto). But they are expected to open in time for "the holiday season". I take that as being around Thanksgiving in mid- to late- November.

As with all things, this is not official. But if I were in your shoes I would not expect these to be open when you arrive in late September. Sorry!

    Have a magical vacation!
