As a military spouse, it would be my pleasure to help you navigate the special offers and pricing Disney extends to U.S. Military Members and their families.
Disney typically offers special savings on select rooms at Disney Resort hotels and specially priced theme park tickets for U.S. Military Members and their families. While these aren’t booked together as a package, you can certainly build your own Walt Disney World vacation package, taking advantage of the special offers available.
You can purchase
Disney Military Salute Tickets from your base ticket office or from
Shades of Green Resort. These tickets are a great value and allow you to use them nonconsecutively throughout the year if you use them before the expiration date. I currently have two days left on my Disney Military Salute ticket and need to visit the parks before it expires on December 19th this year.
For your stay, you can either book a
Disney Resort hotel with the special savings for U.S. Military or a stay at
Shades of Green Resort. My family has taken advantage of both options! While I love staying in the magic at a Disney Resort hotel, we have happily enjoyed the spacious rooms and proximity of Shades of Green Resort when we couldn’t find availability with the military offer during our desired vacation dates. If you book a stay at a Disney Resort hotel with the military rate, you can add the Disney Dining Plan, which will budget for most of your meals before your vacation.
If you are planning to visit next year, the Military Salute tickets and special room pricing offers have not yet been announced. Typically, we see Disney release these offers in October and November, so hopefully, sometime soon.
