For an infant, under 2yrs old, he is part of family and friends, however we do not have to purchase a ticket. So, if we want a LL for an attraction he can enjoy, like Peter Pan's flight, do we have to purchase that?

    Hi Todd!

Welcome back to planDisney! Those perks for being under 3 years old are just the BEST! Let’s make sure you get to take advantage of all of them.

You’re correct that the little guy in your party who’s under 3 years old will not need a park ticket. And I’m happy to report that he will not need Lightning Lane Multi Pass either.

As long as he’s entering the Lightning Lane with someone who has a booked Lightning Lane, he’ll be able to tag along. So, he’ll be off to Never Land along with the rest of your party!

In addition to Peter Pan’s Flight, my boys also loved Journey of the Little Mermaid, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo, and “it’s a small world” at the Magic Kingdom at that age (all of which are included in Lightning Lane Multi Pass!).

Beyond that, he will get to eat for free at all buffet and family-style restaurants. And that includes character dining! You’ll just want to make sure he’s on the dining reservation. That way, the restaurant can plan accordingly and make sure there’s enough space for everyone.

Learn from my mistake, though – if you enjoy any character dining during your trip, position his seat so he can see the characters coming his way. Although my boys loved meeting characters at that age, sometimes it would take them a second to warm up. And being able to see the characters walking up made them much more comfortable than when the characters would surprise them by walking up behind them.

Finally, don’t forget that there is a Baby Care Center in each of the theme parks. It’s the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks and provides a comfortable area for changing and feeding. There are also specific items for sale there (pending availability) that the littlest guests may end up needing, such as diapers, wipes, sunscreen, and over-the-counter medication.

There’s just nothing like seeing Disney World through a little one’s eyes, and I’m so excited that you’ll get to experience it so soon! Let us know if you have any other questions leading up to your trip.
