I am incredibly excited to be bringing my four and two year old kids to WDW in May 2013. Staying for two weeks at OKW on the dining plan. Would LOVE recommendations for best restaurants, dinner show/event and fireworks so I can get the booked up! :-)

Hi, Beth!  There are SO many dining options at Walt Disney World!  If you could send another quick note to let me know what types of restaurants you like, I can make more specific recommendations, but for now, I'll give you some of my favorites!

For kids this age, I love character meals.  It can save time waiting in line at the theme parks.  Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for breakfast or dinner and the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom for any meal are both wonderful buffets with great character interaction.  The preschool set also tends to enjoy Hollywood and Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios, where you'll see some fo the Disney, Jr. characters.

My girls always enjoy Prime Time 50s Cafe and Sci-Fi Dine In at Hollywood Studios.  The theming is fun, with a drive in movie theme at Sci-Fi, and Mom's Kitchen at Prime Time.  It's always nice to hear a grown up tell Dad to eat his veggies.

We also enjoy Jiko, a signature dining experience which lets us take the girls to see the animals on the savannah at Animal Kingdom Lodge; and one of my favorite dining experiences is Teppan Edo at EPCOT.  My kids love Japanese cuisine!

The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is great fun, and even my nephews got a kick out of it when they were in preschool.  And something I think every member of the Moms Panel has done and loved is the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  It starts with a snack buffet at the Contemporary Resort and ends following a boat ride out to see the Wishes fireworks from the Magic Kingdom with a surprise guest back on shore.

I hope this is enough to get you started!  Let me know what else I can do!
