Heigh-Ho Debra,
While all Walt Disney World Theme Parks are my favorite
I absolutely love Epcot. A one-day Standard Theme Park ticket provides Guests with entrance into one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. It does not include food or beverages so I recommend budgeting for those necessities as well as some magical souvenirs you are sure to pick up along the way.
Before purchasing your ticket, check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar for the date you are interested. Guests now need a
Disney Park Pass reservation to enter the parks. Next purchase your ticket and IMMEDIATELY make a Disney Park Pass reservation, availability is limited and not guaranteed until you have completed your reservation. Between now and the time of your arrival start putting a little away at a time because Epcot is home to some amazing festivals with many delicious multi-cultural market booths located all around World Showcase.
I like arriving an hour before park opening and typically have a plan of attack. Future World is my first mission, with more attractions needing to be conquered and ridden, followed by a leisurely stroll around World Showcase, with picturesque opportunities and a foodies worldly dream come true. Future World typically opens its main attractions early such as Test Track, Mission: SPACE, Soarin’ Around the World, Spaceship Earth and others. It is wise to hit the more popular rides earlier in the day before lines become longer. However, if Guests would like to make a trek to Norway for Frozen Ever After and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, in Mexico, then these two attractions have been known to entertain Guests early, as well. World Showcase comes alive with the smells and sips of different cuisines and beverages from around the world at the start of the set park hours. I suggest thinking about what attractions you want to experience and making them your first priority and then finishing your day enjoying the beauty and taste of Epcot’s World Showcase.
As Epcot continues to recreate its vision, I highly recommend checking out the exhibit
the Epcot Experience. Located in the Odyssey’s Event Pavilion, between Future World and World Showcase, come see the changes happening and soon to be happening at this amazing Walt Disney World Theme Park. And I am anxiously awaiting the debut of
Harmonious. This new nighttime spectacular is currently in the works and sure to take nighttime shows to a whole new level.
I hope this helps in planning your day at Epcot and if you need any further advice I am your Epcot Fan Girl. Stay up to date with changes and exciting news by following the Disney Parks Blog and may your upcoming visit be filled with many magical and memorable moments.
Have a Practically Perfect Day,
Amy M.
