Hi Joel! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question today. I am happy to help!
The
dining plan has finally returned to Walt Disney World Resort, woohoo! For many families (including mine), it is a great value and also a great way to try out many restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. There are two dining plans to choose from: the
Quick-Service and Disney Dining Plan. The Quick-Service Plan entitles you to two quick-service meals per night of your visit, plus one snack. The Disney Dining Plan entitles you to one quick-service meal and one table-service meal per night, plus one snack. Both dining plans also give you one resort refillable mug. With a quick-service meal, you are entitled to one entree, and one non-alcoholic beverage. A table-service meal entitles you to one entree, one dessert (if redeemed at brunch, lunch, or dinner), and one non-alcoholic beverage, OR 1 full buffet, and one non-alcoholic beverage. Guests 21 and over can order an alcoholic beverage in place of a non-alcoholic beverage as well.
Now the hard part will be deciding which dining plan is right for you and your family. If you prefer meals on the go and do not want to miss out on the fun, the Quick-Service Plan may be the better choice. If you like a sit-down meal, want to take a break from the crowds, and have kiddos in your group who would love to meet them in a character meal setting, the Disney Dining Plan would be the perfect choice. I love the Disney Dining Plan because my family and I enjoy sitting down at a table for a meal, taking a break from the hustle and bustle, and with littles in tow, meeting characters this way is perfect. Whichever plan you decide to choose Joel, just know you can't go wrong with either. Walt Disney World is the perfect place to try new foods and snacks, which is why I recommend checking out the
Foodie Guides by Disney Eats over at the Disney Parks Blog. Also, check out the
restaurant menus on the Walt Disney World website. There are so many to choose from, but I can tell you, that some of my favorites you cannot miss out on include Garden Grill Restaurant, Grand Floridian Cafe, and Steakhouse 71.
Thanks for stopping by again, Joel. Feel free to reach out again with any other questions you may have. We invite you to "be our guest", and come experience all Walt Disney World has to offer!
Happy Planning!
Frances
