    How important are the names on a dining reservation at Steakhouse 71? I will have an Orlando friend visiting us just for lunch. She is not on the room reservation.

    Hi Sandra!  Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney.

    How wonderful that your friend is planning on joining you for lunch during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  Steakhouse 71 is an excellent choice for lunch, with dishes reminiscent of the early days of the resort.  It is not a problem at all that your friend is not on your room reservation.  If she happens to have a My Disney Experience account, you can connect through Family & Friends and then add her as one of the Guests on your reservation.  If not, just be sure she has the lead name on the dining reservation.  If you can provide her with the reservation number, that would be helpful as well.  She will likely be asked for the name on the reservation and to present a photo ID at the security booth at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Parking at the resort is complimentary with a confirmed dining reservation.

    I hope you and your friend have a lovely time catching up!  Be sure to save room for dessert -- the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake is amazing!
