What Important Item do we need to bring at the Disney Cruise Line?

    Ahoy, Kingsley!

It sounds like you are gEARing up to experience a vacation like no other! You must be so excited to embark on your cruise adventure and let the fabulous cast and crew treat you like Disney royalty on your sailing. As you prepare for your voyage, there is a helpful packing list on the Disney Cruise Line website for you to reference. Different destinations call for different essential items, so Disney Cruise Line has it organized by itinerary to help you know what to bring on your particular sailing.

Kingsley, there are a few items that you'll need regardless of your cruise itinerary that I'm happy to highlight for you. Two of the most important items are medications in original containers and a passport. Although some Guests can travel with a birth certificate and government-issued photo ID (depending on departure port and ports of call), it appears you'll be traveling from Hong Kong, so a valid passport is required for you. I also suggest checking with your local government to see if you will need a Visa(s) as well. Your list should also include dining attire for each evening. This can vary depending on your length of sailing as shorter cruises tend only to offer an optional dress-up night and not all cruises have a Pirate Night (many Guests like to dress in pirate attire for the festivities). Most nights you'll need cruise casual clothing for the dining rooms except if you've chosen to eat at one of the adult-only dining venues, Palo or Remy. These restaurants have a dress code and do require a reservation as they are not included in the price of your vacation. Sunscreen, chargers, and sunglasses are also three items I don't ever leave home without packing. My phone stays charged while onboard, so I can use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to help me plan my days. I recommend downloading this app before you set sail, so you can start using it once you embark. It's free to download and to use while your phone is in airplane mode.

I hope this helps, Kingsley. You may also want to look over the prohibited items list as you prepare to set sail with Mickey! If you need further help, please let us know.
