Hello, James! As Americans prepare for a fireworks spectacular in a couple of days, it seems fitting to talk about
Magic Kingdom Park's Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks. This extravaganza ushers in the
New Year with a
bang, and interestingly enough, it was opening day show for the Magic Kingdom in 1971, before being replaced by Wishes in 2003. Luckily, Walt Disney World Resort now brings it back two days a year: December 30 and 31. The show's finale includes a Countdown to the New Year - hosted by Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.
My family and I experienced the
Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing a couple of summers ago, and it's the best way to get the perfect view of
Cinderella Castle; I think you'll agree that you get
bang for your buck with this event! Although nothing has officially been announced for New Year's Eve 2019, I'd be willing to bet you will be able to reserve the Dessert Party when your booking window opens up later this week. If the schedule remains the same as last year's, Fantasy in the Sky will have two showings at 6:30 PM and 11:50 PM, so you may have two options to choose from. Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog where they release up to date information on happenings around the Parks.
Good luck getting your reservation, James! I hope your trip is a
blast!
