I'm wondering if someone can share their experience with temperatures and weather on the Nordic Cruise that stops in Iceland, Norway and Scotland. It will be late June Early July and we're trying to determine how to best pack for the weather.

    Ahoy, Robert!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What an amazing cruise you have planned for this summer on the Disney Magic! I know you can hardly wait to escape the summer heat to explore the European countries on your Norwegian Fjords and Iceland itinerary.

I've researched what you can expect on your sailing this summer, and it sounds very similar to what my family experienced on our Alaskan sailing a couple of years ago. The weather in these countries can be quite unpredictable so the best way to prepare is to pack items that you can layer. Wind and rain can be a factor so your outer proof layers (including pants) should be water-resistant or waterproof. The rain jacket you should bring should definitely have a hood. Under your waterproof outer layer, I recommend a fleece type jacket or pullover. Warm socks and waterproof, closed-toed shoes that are comfortable are also very important. It also is not a bad idea to pack a warm hat and gloves for cooler days. Long-sleeved shirts and a few short sleeve ones are good to bring in case you experience some mild weather. It looks like the highs can be anywhere from the high 40s to 70! It's important to think about your Port Adventures as well and the best way to dress for what you have planned especially if they include a lot of walking or time outside.

There are laundry rooms onboard if you need to dry anything or wash your clothes, which can help with the space in your luggage. You'll be able to use your "Key to the World" card to pay for the use of the machines and detergent. You can also send your clothes out to be washed, dry cleaned or just pressed. A pricing list can be found in the closet of your stateroom, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Good luck with your packing, Robert! I think layering will be the key to staying warm, dry and comfortable!
