Welcome to planDisney, Ashley, where no resort reservation is left behind! How exciting to be planning a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort, and even more exciting to be planning to stay at
Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. One of my favorite processions can be seen from that resort, the
Electrical Water Pageant. My panelist friend
Lauren recently offered a great tip for viewing this twinkling and whimsical parade from the boat launch at The Polynesian.
Ashley, I have also done the online hula dance of entering various date combinations in hopes of finding the perfect match for my desired Disney Resort Hotel, so I understand how you're feeling. It's an especially challenging task when the resort is a popular one that has limited rooms to offer. I believe there are only around 20 Bora Bora Bungalows, so that's probably why availability is scarce. But to paraphrase Walt Disney, "It's kind of fun to try to do the impossible!"
I'm sure you've tried
entering various dates using the filters for Magic Kingdom Resorts and then Deluxe Resorts. Once you pull up availability in general for The Polynesian, you can start changing dates for that specific resort. When you're online, that is the only way to search for a particular resort's availability.
I spoke to a friendly Cast Member who recommended that you call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations number for help finding availability. He said that even though there isn't a global availability calendar, most Cast Members have some tricks and ideas to help track down availability for you. I love to make the call, pop in my earbuds, and go about my chores while the Cast Member does the legwork!
I'm sending loads of pixie dust your way, Ashley, and I hope you can book your dream vacation at The Polynesian because there's no better place to take a Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride! Stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
