Hi Megan,
Welcome to planDisney! Breakfast at
Storytellers Cafe sounds like a perfect plan! Between their delicious foods (including my very favorite Disney breakfast food...Mickey waffles! Mmm!) and a festive environment with the chance to wave hello to Mickey Mouse and his pals, you're going to LOVE kicking off a magical day there!
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding
dining reservations. You're not alone! While dining reservations are supposed to become available beginning 60 days in advance, that pesky Stitch seems to be wreaking havoc with the system, and they've actually been opening later than that, and not all at the same time. My encouragement to you would be to keep checking. Reservations are eventually opening up, and I currently see some availability at Storytellers Cafe around the date of your arrival, so I'm sending pixie dust that you'll be able to grab the perfect reservation for your crew!
One more piece of advice? With a party of six, you might have trouble finding a reservation large enough. I'd encourage you and a fellow Mouseketeer to consider making two reservations for smaller parties. Once you arrive, you can tell the Cast Members at the check-in podium that you're traveling together and would like to be seated near each other if possible. It might take a bit longer for them to accommodate your wishes, but in my personal experience, they'll do the best they can to make it happen.
Again, I'm sorry this has been difficult, but I hope your dream for breakfast at Storytellers Cafe comes true. If it does, be sure to spend some time exploring the gorgeous
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa while you're there! It's amazing!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Megan, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're thinking through the details of your visit. I hope you and your entire crew have a truly magical...and delicious...Disneyland Resort experience!
