Hello, I'm wondering their are places just to get some fruit and a yogurt (not frozen yogurt) for lunch / snacks? We're staying at the Grand Floridian and plan to spend lots of time in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Thanks!

    Hi Anne,

Disney has lots of options for healthy dining. The quick service restaurant at the Grand Floridian will have whole fruit, cut fruit, and yogurt in one of their refrigerator cases.

In the Magic Kingdom (and the other parks as well), there are carts that sell fruit, cut veggies with dip, and whole pickles. You can get fresh pineapple spears at the Aloha Isle stand in Adventureland. The Starbucks on Main Street should have containers of yogurt in their refrigerator case.

In Liberty Square you can find a stand that sells plain baked potatoes and roasted corn on the cob by the piece, which is another good option. The Sleepy Hollow stand nearby sells small containers of soup that are nutritious and not overly filling. For a small indulgence, many of the ice cream carts offer a chocolate-covered frozen banana as a modest sweet treat.

And of course several of the restaurants sell salads and veggie-based sandwiches.

I think you'll find it surprisingly easy to eat light, healthful meals at Walt Disney World.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
