Yo ho, Emoline!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us this fun question. I'm thrilled to hear about your upcoming visit and plans to experience
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
To paraphrase the words of the great Captain Jack Sparrow, if you were waiting for the opportune moment, this is it. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the one magical time of year when adults have the opportunity to dress up as their favorite characters. I've seen some pretty fantastic looks over the years, but guests must remember that they aren't permitted to pose for pictures or sign autographs for other guests. Savvy?
"The only rules that matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do." In this case, you'll want to refer to the
attire guidelines to confirm that your look meets the regulations. You'll need to avoid masks, sharp/pointed objects, props that resemble real weapons, and anything that drags on the ground, among other restrictions. Cast Members and security staff at the park entrance will always have the final say, but I don't think you'll run into any problems if you adhere to the guidelines.
Keep an eye out for the real deal in Adventureland during the event. I can't guarantee you'll see him but I'm hopeful your party date "will be the day you will always remember as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow," at least for a photo. I'm sure he'll be impressed and flattered by your version of his famous frock.
I hope this helped, Emoline. And to think we were able to answer your question this morning, without even a single drop of rum. Speaking of rum, you won't find much at Magic Kingdom Park, but there are plenty of other
party-exclusive libations and snacks awaiting! So "drink up me hearties" and enjoy all the seasonal grub during this separately ticketed event.
Feel free to chart a course back to planDisney with any additional questions. We're always ready to hoist the sails and journey toward the horizon for answers.
Dead men tell no tales,
Amy
