There really is nothing like sailing with the
Disney Cruise Line fleet during any of the holiday seasons, and being on board for
Halloween on the High Seas is no exception! What's interesting to note is that this is a year full of major milestones, with
Disney Cruise Line's 25th Silvery Anniversary at Sea ending its run of special summer celebratory sailings just before you hop on board for
your voyage this September.
I spoke with some friendly Crew Members and Officers on board who let me know that at the current time, there is no official word on any major events planned for voyages commemorating the
Disney100 celebrations. Depending on which ship you're sailing on, you may be able to spot key merchandise or items that are currently available including a special Platinum Mickey Mouse Balloon popcorn bucket that my husband purchased this year; my
fellow planDisney Panelist and seasoned seafarer Amy noticed 100 Years of Wonder branding on cups and paper products on a recent voyage. I do recommend
keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any notable nautical news coming out after the 25th Silver Anniversary sailings, in the event that something special does come your way on your cruise!
If you're very fortunate, who knows what other kinds of treasures may make their way on board by the time you set sail -
the much awaited debut of DisneyBand+ could very well be another thing to celebrate! In my opinion, it would be fantastic if you managed to get the best of both worlds with merchandise and opportunities on board remaining from the Silver Anniversary, items from The Walt Disney Company's 100 Year Celebration; along with Halloween on the High Seas it'll be like having a multiverse of things to celebrate all the same time!
