Hiya, George!
I want to first start by assuring you that I personally have never been to a vacation destination that seems to cater so much to people with special dietary needs.
Walt Disney World has always gone above and beyond for me and members of my family when it comes to our personal issues with food, and I am confident your experience will be similar.
Most of the quick service and table service restaurants are already equipped to handle
special dietary requests, such as gluten-free diets. You are also welcome at any time to ask to speak with a member of the culinary team, and they will guide you through the allergy-friendly menu or the regular menu to educate you on choices that already fulfill your specific dietary requirements or can be adapted to do so. Just let your server know when you arrive that there are dietary concerns of which they should be aware. You can also indicate it in your
My Disney Experience app when you check-in for your dining reservations.
A good idea before you go, George, is to browse the
dining experiences that you'd like to enjoy, and check out the menus at each location. If you scroll down to the bottom of the regular menu (past beverages), you'll see the allergy menu, and each menu item indicates what type of allergies are addressed in that particular meal.
You're going to eat well, George. From gluten-free buns for burgers to gourmet meals, Disney has you covered, my friend, so eat, drink, and let the experience be magical!
Anna
