    Hi I'm going to wdw for the second time and last year we went to the beach club we only want to go to a delux and my kids are worried about hurricanes as we are going to go in July please help .Thanks

    Hi Aoife,

    I have been at the Walt Disney World Resorts during a hurricane. I have to say Disney did a great job making our stay as fun as possible. There was coloring in the lobby. The characters took pictures and entertained us. Except that we could not go outside, I am not sure my children worried about the rain.

    Disney is located in the middle of Florida which keeps it protected. Also, hurricane season tends to be be later in the summer usually after August.

    While no one can predict the weather, you can help your children reduce their anxiety by showing them the weather forecast for Disney right before you leave for vacation.
