Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer! Or, as Mickey likes to say, hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog!
I'm so happy to hEAR that you'll be returning to the magic soon! I've also been feeling homesick for my Happy Place, and I've been pouring over the
menus on the Walt Disney World website in advance of my October trip. Family dinners are some of our favorite memories from our Disney travels. I'm relieved to know that since reopening, Walt Disney World Resort has been working tirelessly to
implement new strategies designed to keep guests safe at their parks, and that includes while dining. As you're probably already aware, for guests at table service restaurants, Walt Disney World is currently offering contactless menus via QR codes that guests can peruse; some folks refer to this as BYOM (Bring Your Own Menu)! However, we've been told that disposable paper menus will also be available if a guest prefers a non-digital menu, so when you arrive, just ask!
One change you may notice is that menus have been simplified and streamlined so that they are not too long to view on a phone. However, the chefs assured us that they kept many iconic guest favorites and plant-based options (I'm not vegan, but I've tried several of these menu items, and they are creative and delicious)! And for added precaution, temperature screenings are now required in table service restaurants in all the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Contactless payments such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or the use of MagicBands are also encouraged. Check out the
Together We Can Make Today Incredible campaign on the Disney Parks Blog, and keep an eye out for the Incredi-crew while enjoying your time in the parks!
See ya' real soon, Jennifer!
