Hi, I'm visiting WDW in October with my mother who gets tired easily. We're staying off-site so leaving the parks mid-afternoon is not an option; are there quieter seating or break out areas in any of the parks? Also, are camping stools/chairs allowed? Thx

    Hi Laura,

Unfortunately, guests are not allowed to bring folding stools or chairs into the parks.

All the parks have benches and tables in shady areas. Your mom would be welcome to sit there and rest for as long as she likes. She could also camp out at a table in one of the air conditioned quick service restaurants. Have her bring a book and sit at a table for as long as she likes. There are also many show-type attractions that last about 20 minutes and are air-conditioned. Perhaps stacking a few of those together would give your mom a good rest. Another alternative would be for her to take in a movie at the AMC Downtown Disney theater during the hot part of the afternoon.

If you mom does begin to feel weary, you could also rent a wheelchair or ECV for her to use during the day. This would cut down on the walking at the parks.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
