Hi there ,I'm visiting orlando on February 24th next year for my 60th birthday ,I fly that day and arrive at Art of Animation around 3pm .is there any chance I could have my badge posted to the UK?

    Hi Andreea!

Welcome to planDisney! First, happy early milestone birthday!

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "badge" but my best guess is that you are referring to your room access key. Unfortunately, it cannot be mailed to you before you arrive. However, Andreea, one of the best things about visiting Walt Disney World Resort and staying at a Disney Resort Hotel is that you will have quite a few options for accessing a room.

First, I highly suggest that you use the Online Check-In service before you arrive so that your room has a better chance of being ready as soon as you arrive. I have used online check-in for years and found it to work wonderfully. Since check-in time for Disney Resort hotels is 3 pm there is a very good chance your room will be ready by the time you arrive. (Not a guarantee!)

Second, once you can download the My Disney Experience app you will find the option to unlock your Resort room door. When your room becomes available, the information will load right onto the app and if you complete the online check-in you will also get a text with room information. I have been lucky to get this text as soon as my plane lands!

If you already have a Disney band linked to your account, you can also use this to access your room. The band cannot be ordered before you arrive and mailed to you but you can buy it as soon as you arrive from the Resort gift shop. Once you link it via the app to your account it will "know" to access your room.

Now, if all else fails then visiting the Front desk of Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the way to go. The Front Desk is also where you can request your "Happy Birthday" pin which you should wear proudly during your trip. It's free and a way to ensure everyone knows you are celebrating something special!

I hope this helps and you have a fabulous time!

    Happy Planning!

My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
