    Hey there, Chris!

Welcome to planDisney...I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question! It sounds like you're planning a spring trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth...how exciting is that?! Spring is such a gorgeous time to visit. Not only is the weather usually just right, but you'll also get to experience the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in full bloom. Between the colorful topiaries, beautiful gardens, and tasty bites at the outdoor kitchens, it's truly a treat for the senses!

Disney really goes above and beyond to make sure every Guest can have a magical experience. They've created a wide range of services and resources to help meet different needs, all with the goal of making visits as smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. Whether it's accessibility in the parks, helpful tools, or extra support, Disney is committed to making sure every Guest has the opportunity to create unforgettable memories.

One of the helpful programs Disney offers is Disability Access Service, or more commonly known as DAS. This service is specifically designed for Guests who, because of a developmental disability, may have a hard time waiting in a traditional standby line for long periods of time.

Once you've arrived in the United States, you can begin the DAS registration process by connecting virtually with a Cast Member through the Walt Disney World website or your My Disney Experience app. Your son will just need to be with you during the live video chat. During the call, the Cast Member will chat with you to better understand your son's needs and then help set up the best accommodations to make his visit as comfortable and magical as possible.

I'd love to share the Sensory Experience Details for Guests with Disabilities with you. This helpful guide breaks down each attraction and highlights the different sensory elements you might come across. Having a peek at this ahead of time can make it so much easier to plan what will work best for your family.

Chris, I hope this information helps as you continue planning your trip. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come see us again at planDisney!
