Hi Joseph,
Welcome to planDisney! Disney World is the perfect place to kick off the holiday season. As soon as you get home, you will have so much inspiration to decorate your house and bake all of the yummy holiday treats.
The best way to figure out what parades will be running during the time of your visit is to check the
online calendar or use the
My Disney Experience app while at Disney World. Once you get a little closer to your trip, these will accurately reflect which parades will be happening during your visit and what time to be lined up on Main Street to watch them!
The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is currently running during the day before Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party so it is safe to assume that it will continue to run at least once during the day before Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as well.
Another great way to gear up for the holidays at Disney World if you are not attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is to book a dining reservation at one of the Resort hotels on the monorail line. All three of these Resort hotels have a fabulous view of the Christmas-themed fireworks, and they conveniently pipe in the music so you can enjoy the whole experience. The
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort is my favorite viewing location because the three-course meal is delicious, and you get a rooftop view of the fireworks. If you can't get a reservation here or you don't want to have a full three-course meal, they also have a lounge with appetizers and drinks where you can hang out and wait for the fireworks show.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
