I'm a veteran and was told that on certain days Veterans are asked to join in a flag retirement ceremony on main street? I plan on going to Disney on September 25 & 26 and California park on Sept 27. I will be celebrating my birthday on the 26th.

    Hi there David,

Thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I want to give thanks to you as well for your service to our country. I'm so excited about your upcoming trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. Celebrating a birthday with the big cheese himself will make memories of a lifetime!

We like to enjoy the Flag Retreat Ceremony while at the Disneyland Resort as well. It is important to pay tribute and to teach our littles the value of this tradition. How a Guest is selected to participate is all a part of the Disney Magic. However, I recommend you stop by City Hall and speak to a Cast Member there. Express to them how important this ceremony is to you and that you are a Veteran; you never know what pixie dust may come your way.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted time on your next visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
