Oh boy, oh boy - your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is almost here! I think you'll love
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. One of my favorite things about this resort is the fabulous pool area.
The Dig Site is a great place to relax in between your visits to the parks!
Starting your vacation with a visit to
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is an absolutely
SPLASH-tacular idea! I also took advantage of
free water park admission on my check-in day last month and had the best time exploring Typhoon Lagoon with my teenage son. You'll find that the complimentary water park tickets are
automagically linked to the My Disney Experience accounts of each registered resort Guest on your check-in day, so you can easily tap in with a
MagicBand, Key to the World Card, or
Disney MagicMobile Service when you arrive at the water park.
Patrick, you'll be happy to know there is a bathroom that includes showers and changing areas near the front entrance of Typhoon Lagoon, right by
Singapore Sal's.
Locker rentals are also conveniently located in this area, so you can store items while enjoying your day! I would suggest bringing a bag to the water park that includes your toiletries, a change of clothes, and any other essentials for the day. Personally, I'm a fan of also bringing water shoes to Typhoon Lagoon - especially in the summer heat. While showers are available, please note that hair dryers are not provided in the restrooms.
planDisney Pro Tip - When you're ready for lunch at Typhoon Lagoon, I like to use
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to save time. We usually like to eat at
Leaning Palms and grab a table overlooking Castaway Creek. As a bonus,
Happy Landings Ice Cream is right next door, where you can grab the famous Sand Pail Sundae!
You can also stop by the front desk at Coronado Springs to see if your room is ready early. While this can't be guaranteed, you may find Cast Members able to accommodate an earlier check-in, which would give you the chance to settle into your room and change after you visit the water park. If your room isn't ready,
Bell Services can hold your luggage until later in the day.
