Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Barbara! Thank you for stopping by with your question! It's great to hear you will be using the Disney Dining Plan, you will see it is a very convenient way to do your meals!
The Walt Disney World offers three different types of dining plans, the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, the
Disney Dining Plan, and the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. The one you mentioned above is The Disney Dining Plan, also known by many as the standard or regular dining plan. This plan includes one quick-service meal, one table-service meal, and two snacks per person (ages 3 and up) per night of your stay. Also, each Guest will receive a refillable drink mug, eligible for refills at self-service beverage locations in your resort hotel. It is important to note that children aged 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu, if available. Guests 21 and over will be able to order beer and other alcoholic beverages with their meals, where available.
My family and I always get this dining plan and use the table service credits for
character meals as they offer the chance to spend a non-rushed moment with your favorite characters, getting their autographs and posing with them for photos! Remember that certain character meals are very popular and reservations are strongly recommended up to 180 days prior to the start of your vacation.
Do not forget that now you can use
mobile ordering to maximize your time and stay away from lines. You may order a meal or snack from a
participating location and receive a message on your
My Disney Experience app when your food is ready for pick-up! Pretty neat, huh?
Barbara, I hope this information has been helpful. I hope to see you again with more questions; we love to help you plan your trip!
Happy Disney Dining!
