    Hi Debbie,

    You've asked a great question, one similar to what I've been wondering myself. I'm heading out soon on an Adventures by Disney trip. This will be my 7th Adventure, but my first which includes a major holiday. I am now deciding whether to bring small gifts for the guides and other families. 

    From what I've learned, there's no concrete rule about this. Some holiday groups "meet" online and decide to do small gifts or stockings (you may want to search the chat rooms on wdwinfo.com to see if there's a group for your trip), while others don't plan anything special in advance and improvise on the fly. An AbD guide friend told me about one of his holiday trips where the entire group voted to ditch the planned itinerary for Christmas day and decided to instead go do volunteer work at a local orphanage. The composition and mood of the group will likely influence the day's activities. 

    Personally, I'm now leaning toward bringing some nice wrapped candy to share with the other guests on Christmas. If you call AbD about a week before you leave, they will often tell you the number of people booked on your trip and the approximate ages of the children. That can give you a ballpark number about what to pack. 

    Moms Panelist Kay and I did the Wyoming Adventures by Disney trip (together!) but not the winter version. I LOVED seeing the hot springs and wildlife. I imagine that they're even more magical in the snow.
