Hi, Marvin! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for visiting us all the way from Uganda!
I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a trip for your family to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! Prices for vacation depend on many things, including the time of year you're traveling, how many people are in your travel party, how long you're staying, and the flights you select. I'd love to help you with some tips that can lead you in the right direction.
- First, get an idea about which dates you'd like to travel! Then, take a look at the Disney Resorts Collection hotel page. You can enter your dates and see which Disney Resort hotels are available to you. Sometimes just shifting your dates by a day or two can open up new options!
- Take some time to price out a few different options. As someone who often travels on a budget, I can tell you that you can't go wrong with any of the Value Resort Hotels! My favorites are Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
- Once you select your Disney Resort hotel, you'll be able to add on your Theme Park Tickets. I would recommend at least a 5-day ticket. Personally, I like to visit all four parks (Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park), but I like to start and end my trip with Magic Kingdom Park! However, more days are even better. Since you're traveling a long distance, you may want even more park days! You may also consider having a rest day (or two!) throughout your trip to enjoy the pool and other amenities at your resort, without going into a park.
- You will purchase your flights separately from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You're welcome to use your preferred airline that you feel most comfortable with!
- Once you've selected your Disney Resort hotel and Theme Park Tickets, be sure to make your Theme Park Reservations using the Disney Park Pass system. You can even take a look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see which parks are available on the dates of your trip!
Purchasing your Disney Resort hotel, Theme Park Tickets, flights, and making your Theme Park Reservations are a great first step toward visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Once you have that booked, please visit us again with any other questions you may have. After all, you've got a friend in me!
