im turning 50 i am traveling with 3 girlfriends none of us have been to disney we wanted to know if we could have birthday dinner within the resort and dress up like our favorite princess for the day

Hey there, Rezephyr. Welcome to planDisney!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! Look who's about to celebrate a truly magical birthday at the Most Magical Place on Earth — it's YOU, Rezephyr! Get ready to make a wish, blow out those candles, and shout, "WOOHOO!" because the celebration is about to begin! Birthdays are always special, but when you're surrounded by friends and the magic of Walt Disney World, they become downright unforgettable. This is going to be one birthday fairytale celebration to remember!

I love that you're planning a special birthday dinner and want to channel your inner princess! However, Guests ages 14 and older aren't permitted to wear costumes inside Walt Disney World Resort, except during special ticketed events such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. While that might feel like a bit of a Bibbidi Bobbidi bummer, there's a fun alternative I think you'll love!

Many Guests choose to "Disney Bound," which means dressing in outfits inspired by their favorite characters through color choices, styles, and accessories rather than full costumes. For example, I once Disney Bounded as Snow White by wearing a yellow skirt, blue top, red headband, and even an apple-shaped purse! You can easily do the same with the princesses you'd like to channel!

When you arrive for your dining reservation, be sure to let the Cast Member know you're celebrating your birthday! While nothing is ever guaranteed, Cast Members love to add a little extra pixie dust whenever they can. Also, don't forget to pick up Celebration buttons for you and your friends! You can find them at the front desk of your Disney Resort or at any Guest Relations location throughout the parks.

Rezephyr, I hope you have the most magical birthday at the most magical place! Wishing you all the happy things!

    See ya real soon,
