I’m trying to make a rough plan of a Disney trip for my family and I. Ideally, I’d be able to choose my ticket choices, hotel choice, dining, etc. I realize that these could change at any time (availability and prices) but is there a way to do this?

    Hi Erin!

One of my absolute favorite things in the world is planning an unforgettable trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I have been known to create color-coded spreadsheets with our hotel, restaurants, and parks that we plan to visit each day, along with my own personal "must do's" before I even think about booking our vacation.

Erin, you are able to find everything that you need to know on the official Walt Disney World Resort website. You can plan a vacation without ever booking it by taking advantage of the "Build Your Vacation" tool, located right below the header on the main website page. Select your approximate dates and party size and you can find your dream hotel! Once you select your hotel and room type, you can select your tickets and other options so you are able to view the complete price of your package.

Erin, once you create your package, you will notice there is a code on the bottom right of your screen named "Cart ID." Save this number and you can use it to pull up any previously planned Walt Disney World Resort vacation package!

If you want to explore dining options, you can do that by hovering over the "Things To Do" tab and selecting "All Restaurants." Here you will be able to filter by location and view menus. Once you find something that you absolutely must have (like Satu'li Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort) you can click on the heart on the top right to save it to your favorites.

Erin, with the all-new Disney Park Pass system, you will need to select a park to visit on each day of your vacation. You can do that by first checking the park hours and then checking the awesome availability calendar. Please note that all vacation pricing and availability are subject to change at any time.

I hope that this helped, Erin. We here at planDisney are here to help you, so please come back here if we can answer any other questions.

    Happy Planning!
