I'm trying to plan a trip for my family to WDW and the only time that is most convenient is the end of may- august, which is the better month to go? what is Florida weather like during those months?

Hi Brandi! Now that my kids are older, those summer months are the most convenient time for my family to visit Walt Disney World too. Since children are out of school during the summer, many families visit Disney then, so the parks can be busy. The least crowded times during that period are late May (except Memorial Day weekend), early June, and late August. While park attendance levels are high during the rest of the summer, the parks stay open longer and extra shows are often added to the schedules, so you'll still be able to see and do everything you want, especially if you spend a little time planning your trip in advance.

You probably already know that Florida is hot in the summer -- high temperatures average around 90 during the day with nightly lows in the 70s. May is a tad cooler than June, July, and August, so if you're concerned about heat and crowds, May is your best bet. I visited Disney this past June, and although it was hot, it was not unbearable. My family found that getting to the parks early in the morning and returning to the hotel in the afternoon for a swim was a great strategy for dealing with the heat.
