Welcome to planDisney, Ashley, and Happy Halloween!
How exciting to be planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall! My birthday is in October as well—just five days before Halloween—and I love the festive décor and
spooktacular fun around the parks and resorts.
In years past, Halloween decorations have started to
materialize in the days and weeks leading up to the first
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. There has not been an announcement yet regarding this year's Halloween Party, so I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Disney's official social media accounts for any updates. Last year, Disney made an announcement at the end of August about
Fall Fun at Magic Kingdom Park.
Our family visited Walt Disney World during the last week of August last year and while the parks did not have Halloween decorations up yet, we did find some
haunting surprises at
Disney Springs.
World of Disney® had Halloween displays full of merchandise and yummy treats like Candy Corn Popcorn. Again, I suggest visiting
disneyworld.com, the Disney Parks Blog, and Disney's social media accounts for updates.
While you're on the Disney Parks Blog, take time to check out
Everything Halloween. You'll find Halloween treats such as
hauntingly fun activities and
scary good trivia. If you're a pumpkin lover like me, then cook up some fun with
5 Pick of the Patch Pumpkin Recipes. For even more
bewitching fun, check out the "Halloween at Disney Parks" playlist on the
Disney Parks YouTube channel.
Please
let me know if I can help you with any other questions before your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall.
Have a magical day!
Bob
