I'm trying to get my parents to come with us and they are both really into wine. I'd rather visit during free dining if it's available. Has the free Disney Dining ever over-lapped with Epcot's Food & Wine Festival?

    Christina,

In 2005 we visited Disney and took advantage of the great free dining offer.  We checked in on one of the last days of the promotion and stayed for 2 weeks, so yes, at that time our trip did overlap some of the Food & Wine Festival.  We were able to enjoy a couple days of feasting around Epcot and it was awesome!

More recently, in 2007 the dates for the free dining promotion were for travel between 8/24-9/20.  Food & Wine Festival 2008 was 9/26-11/9.  If you checked in one the last day and stayed for a week or more, then yes, you could conceivably overlap a bit.  I wouldn't completely count on that possibility though.  The Food & Wine Festival is very popular and doesn't really require any incentives to draw in the crowds, if you know what I mean.  Free dining is typically more of an August-September thing, and Food & Wine is an October-November event.

    Hope that helps!
