So I'm trying to link a MagicBand+ from an old (now deleted) account to a new account. Is there any way for me to manually do it on my end or is there any way to make this work at all?

    Hello Jacob,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with your MagicBand+ question, I'd be happy to help.

Can I say something crazy...? I feel like MagicBands are literally one of my favorite things about a Disney World vacation. There's just something so happy and carefree about leaving my Disney resort in the morning and heading to a Disney Park with no money, no wallet, no car keys... just my magical MagicBand! It gets me every single thing I want. Admission to the park. Buying my Mickey ice cream bar. Paying for my meals. Tapping in to my Lightning Lanes. Purchasing my new souvenir sweatshirt. Buying another Mickey ice cream bar. And so on, and so forth.

    Now THAT'S pixie dust!

Yes, you should be able to link your "old" MagicBand+ to your newer My Disney account so you can still use it. You can do this yourself either directly on the Disney World website under My MagicBands and Cards, or with the My Disney Experience app. Inside the app, from the home screen select the "≡" menu icon in the lower right corner, then scroll down to Account - MagicBands & Cards. Find the guest's name you'd like to attach the band to. It should default to display the MagicBand+ tab, and you should see a button "+Link" to link a MagicBand to this guest. If your MagicBand+ is fully charged, you may be able to just tap and scan it in to the account. Or you can select "Type ID" and hand enter the ID number on the back face of your MagicBand+.

That's it! If you run into any issues, or need further assistance you can always call MagicBand Support and a friendly Cast Member can assist you.

Your summer Disney World vacation is coming up very soon... woo hooo! If you'll be staying at a Disney Resort, I hope you're able to take advantage of the splashtastic benefit of free admission to a Disney Water Park on your arrival day. During your stay dates, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open and available to choose from. Such a cool perk!

Jacob, I hope this helps and that you enjoy every magical moment of your visit to Walt Disney World. Please feel free to message me at planDisney if I can offer any other tips or recommendations on must-do attractions, delicious Disney Dining, or maximizing your park day by using Lightning Lane.

    Reach for the sky!
