Welcome aboard, Paige! When my kids were younger, getting every single character's autograph was simply a "must" when we sailed with Disney! Now, they're content to get photos with just a few of their favorites, instead of everyone onboard, but I love that meeting Disney characters onboard is so much easier than in the parks! The lines are shorter, and with the character greeting schedule in the Personal Navigator and on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, we always know where our favorite friends will be greeting guests!
I used to hand make autograph books in a scrapbooking style for my kids before we sailed. We still have these beautiful books, but then when I got a bit too busy, we opted for the Disney autograph books, which are just as wonderful and a lot easier on Mom! We have a Disney Cruise Line autograph book that the kids purchased in one of the
Gift Shops onboard the ship. I've seen the same one, or similar ones, when we've sailed recently too. Merchandise changes often, so you may find a totally different selection when you sail, but there will be a few different autograph book options for your daughter to choose from onboard, including a cruise-themed one. Do know, though, that the gift shops won't open that first day until early evening, and are then only open when the ship is at sea. So, you may want to have some extra paper in case she spots a Disney friend to meet earlier that day. You can always glue that extra autograph in the book later! I recommend taking photos with each character too, so you can slip those onto the page opposite their autograph, as a really nice memory. My kids have lots of Disney autograph books on their shelves from their various cruises and park visits, and they still get a kick out of flipping through them remembering each trip!
Have fun, Paige!
