I took a look at the AAA website page that sells Disney World park tickets. I also compared it to
purchasing a 1-day theme park ticket for EPCOT directly from the Walt Disney World site. Interestingly, the prices were exactly the same for your upcoming arrival date. But I do see the AAA site is offering a $20 promo code for dining, so that is perhaps the advantage you were considering.
You won't need a park reservation, as this will be a dated park ticket. When purchasing through the AAA site you will need to select your Disney park (EPCOT) and visit date. Once your online purchase of your e-ticket is complete, you should receive the ticket confirmation number via email. I recommend adding it to your
My Disney Experience app. To do so, log in and from the home screen select the "☰" icon in the lower right corner, select My Tickets & Passes, click the top "+" icon, then select Link Tickets & Passes. Ka-chow!
This app can be your pixie-dusted helper throughout your Disney Day. After linking your park ticket in the app you can then use
MagicMobile for entry into the park, which may save you some time. Alternatively, you can stop by the ticket window with a printed copy of your ticket confirmation, along with your photo ID, and they can issue you a physical ticket to use at the park's entrance touch points.
The app is also useful for things like checking attraction wait times, or placing a
mobile food order so you can bypass that busy lunch line. Linking your park ticket will also allow you to purchase
Lightning Lane passes ahead of time, if you'd like to use this option for the more popular attractions. My family always begs for me to reserve a Lightning Lane Single Pass for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, because it's their absolute favorite ride! And I do it. Because it's amazing and my favorite ride, too. Woo hoo!
