Hi Carrie,
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, as this is a really important question! Under the
phased reopening, a few things are a little different now, and one of those changes is that a
Disney Park Pass reservation is now required for admission in addition to a valid theme park ticket. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction so you can be sure your Disney dreams can come true as planned!
You may find current park reservation availability in two places - on the ticketing page or the availability calendar. If you're purchasing a new ticket, the
ticketing page will show you a green circle for days when all four theme parks currently have availability, a green half-circle if some parks have availability while others are full, and a gray box with a slash when all of the parks are unavailable. It is possible, though, that you found availability that differs from the ticketing page.
This availability calendar shows openings based on whether a Guest is an Annual Passholder, ticket holder, or Disney Resort hotel Guest. The important thing is that you verify there is availability with your type of admission before you purchase your ticket, then make your Disney Park Pass reservation as soon as your ticket is
linked to your My Disney Experience account. I'm sending pixie dust that everything will work out perfectly for you and your itinerary will come together exactly as you were hoping!
Thanks again for coming to see us, Carrie, and please feel free to stop by again with any other Disney-planning questions you may have. I hope you have a truly magical vacation this
summer!
Missy
