I'm travelling to the Walt Disney World Resort later this year for the first time with a 1 year old. What are the room accommodations for travelling with an infant? Also, do you have any recommendations for specific resorts?

    Hi Jessica!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You could not have asked this question at a more perfect time, since I just returned from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and we took advantage of the complimentary crib

You have the option to either attach the crib request to your reservation by calling 407-939-5277 or you can check with the Front Desk upon arrival. While a shortage has never been an issue when my family has traveled I want to let you know that quantities are limited. This past weekends trip was planned last minute so we called the Front Desk after we were settled in and they quickly brought us a Pack 'n Play playard and sheet for my little one!

As silly as it sounds, one thing that didn't 'click' for me until I traveled with an infant is that fireworks are loud! So if your little one is a light sleeper, I would personally recommend not staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort because of it's close proximity to Magic Kingdom. I do absolutely love the convenience of staying on the Resort Monorail line though because you don't have to collapse your stroller for transportation which is incredibly valuable if your babies squeezing in their nap. I'd look into Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for the monorail convenience, but the noise buffer of the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Please let me know if you need any more help!
