I’m travelling from UK to Anaheim and can only go to Disneyland on April 8th, Star Wars night, Do I buy a ticket for the day now and then try buy a ticket for Star Wars night when the tickets go on sale, or is it best to buy both tickets at the same time?

Hello there, Darren! Welcome to our side of the galaxy at planDisney. Star Wars Nite will truly be a night long remembered. As a fan of the Force myself, I can tell you I’m eagerly awaiting this premier Disneyland After Dark event. It’s the ultimate gathering for Jedi, Sith, and scoundrels alike!

If you’re planning to visit Disneyland on April 8, before Star Wars Nite, I recommend purchasing your single-day park ticket now instead of waiting for Star Wars Nite tickets to go on sale. There’s no need to buy both event tickets and park tickets at the same time. Securing your park reservation early will ensure you’re ready to enjoy a full day of magic and adventure. No need to rely on the will of the Force! Just a reminder: tickets to Disneyland After Dark events typically include admission to Disneyland Park starting three hours before the party begins, so you’ll get bonus time to explore the galaxy.

I highly recommend visiting Disneyland for a full day in April, as the park will be celebrating Seasons of the Force! This epic event brings balance to the Light and Dark Sides, uniting Star Wars fans for an unforgettable celebration. From March 28 to May 11, you’ll find Star Wars-themed food and beverage offerings, exclusive merchandise, and limited-time entertainment like the nightly Fire of the Rising Moons show. This spectacular display features dazzling new projection effects in Galaxy’s Edge, creating an experience worthy of a Jedi Master.

One of the highlights for me is the return of Hyperspace Mountain, a thrilling Space Mountain overlay that puts you in the middle of a high-stakes X-Wing battle above Jakku. But keep your wits about you! It’s possible there may be a trap!

If you’re attending Star Wars Nite, Darren, I have a few recommendations to maximize your experience. As a veteran of this event, I can tell you that meeting event-exclusive characters and capturing unique photo ops are absolute must-dos. For example, last year’s event featured the chance to snap a photo with Han Solo frozen in carbonite. Meanwhile, over in Galaxy’s Edge, Hera and Chopper from Star Wars Rebels were out on patrol, making the rounds and meeting guests. These moments are rarer than a Jedi in hiding, so make the most of them!

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more details about both Star Wars Nite and Seasons of the Force. If you have any questions about your trip, Darren, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of the other panelists here at planDisney.

May the Force be with you!
