Im travelling with someone who doesnt speak english do I have a choice to make her understand her surroundings aside of translating myself? If so where do I find it and how much does it cost? Does it apply to all the atractions or just some of them? Thanks

There are "Ears to the World" listening devices available to guests that will translate the narration of some Walt Disney World attractions into French, Spanish, Japanese, German, or Portuguese. You can borrow these devices free of charge from the Guest Services office at each of the theme parks. (At the Magic Kingdom, Guest Service is in City Hall, just to the left as you pass the train station near the entrance.) While use of the Ears to the World is free, you must leave a $100 deposit to take them. This deposit will be returned to you when the Ears are returned.

There are also park maps available in each of the languages listed above. You can find these located with the English maps near the front entrance to each of the parks. Additionally there are many cast members in the parks that speak languages other than English, just look for a small flags affixed to their name tags indicating which languages are spoken.

Foreign language park assistance can be obtained via telephone by calling 407-824-7900. All WDW ticket sales locations have printed information in multiple languages. Also, the Keys to the Kingdom and Family Magic tours can be conducted in French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese, and Italian. For more information on that you can call 407-WDW-TOUR.

And finally, the pavilions at Epcot's World Showcase are a great resource for many non-English speaking guest. Cast members there will be able to offer advice in their native language.

Good luck and have a great Disney vacation.
