Hi Michelle!
Congratulations on your upcoming trip to the most magical place on earth!
The
Disney Dining Plan is such a wonderful option to add to your Disney package! I love to buy it because it saves time, money and stress. The
2016 Disney Dining Plan includes one rapid refill mug, one quick service, one table service and one snack per guest, per night of your stay. Since the Disney Dining Plan is tied to your
Magic Your Way Package you would be unable to modify your plan to reflect your son as an adult on your plan and a child on your resort reservation. If your son is ten, you can book your entire Magic Your Way Package and Disney Dining Plan with him as an adult, however this would increase the price of your package and tickets.
I think you would be better off to keep your package as is, given that he will still be nine at the date of your vacation, and your can pay out of pocket for any adult meals that he desires. You can also ask your server at the Table Service dining locations you visit if your son can order off the adult menu or order a child-sized portion of an adult meal. If your son prefers the meals that are on the adult menu, some locations may be able to provide a child-sized portion of the adult options.
Make sure to book your
Advanced Dining Reservation 180 days in advance.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
