hi, I'm traveling w/ my 4 yr old dtr and m wondering if its worth it to purchase a dining plan? and are there character dining available inside d parks? if so, what are the best ones? thanks.

Hi, Karen!  The Disney Dining plan is really a personal choice, based on your family and your dining plans while at the theme park.  Your daughter would have the children's dining plan, which allows her to order anything she wishes from the children's options on the menus.  That was great for some of my girls, but my oldest one never ate kid friendly food.  That kid wouldn't touch a burger or a chicken nugget if her life depended on it!

The dining plan is a great way to have a huge budget worry out of the way before you ever set foot in the theme parks.  For many people, it allows them to enjoy many different dining experiences without worrying about going over budget.  It's a great planning tool!

There are character dining experiences inside the theme parks.  With a four year old princess, you might enjoy some of the princess dining experiences, such as Cinderella's Royal Table, located inside Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdm, or the Princess Storybook meals at Restaurant Akershus in EPCOT.  My girls have always loved the Crystal Palace, where you'll usually find Pooh and friends hanging out.  And for the preschool set, Disney's Hollywood and Vine offers a character breakfast and lunch that usually features some familiar faces from Disney Junior.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
